• Andropogon 'Prairie Blues'

This one you don't see very often. Its blue-grey foliage takes on soft burgundy and purple tones in autumn. They’re looking really lovely right now. Extremely frost hardy and drought tolerant once established, these are low maintenance and perfect for borders, en masse, or planted in groups of three. They'll provide a lovely bit of movement in your garden.

  • Dianella longifolia

What I especially love is that they attract Silver Eye Finches! and also how easy they are to keep tidy. The old leaves pull out with a gentle tug. (unlike Lomandras which need to be cut to the ground to keep them looking tidy)

A graceful Australian native grass with long, slender blue-green foliage that creates an elegant, fountain-like appearance. Produces delicate blue flowers in spring and summer, followed by attractive blue berries. Extremely hardy, drought tolerant once established, and low maintenance.

  • Miscanthus transmorrisonensis

One of my favourite larger Miscanthus. These are striking and elegant. They develop delicate foliage that creates a graceful, airy appearance. Then they produce feathery, silvery-white flower plumes in late summer and autumn. Extremely hardy, drought tolerant once established, and low maintenance. Perfect for borders, specimen plantings, or as a focal point. Attracts seed eating birds.
