Uses

Climate Suitability
Performs exceptionally well in cool–temperate to temperate Australia, including Ballarat, VIC, ACT, southern NSW, TAS, and similar regions with distinct seasons for best autumn color. Tolerates drought and clay once established.
Origin
A hybrid of red maple (Acer rubrum) and silver maple (Acer saccharinum), combining strong structure, showy colour, and adaptability. 'Jeffersred' was discovered by Glenn Jeffers in the 1960s in the USA.
