Acer rubrum 'Autumn Red'

Acer rubrum 'Autumn Red' (Red Maple) is a stunning deciduous tree renowned for its spectacular autumn display. This cultivar produces brilliant scarlet-red foliage in autumn, creating a breathtaking focal point in cold climate gardens.

Thriving in Ballarat's frosty conditions, this hardy maple tolerates temperatures well below freezing. The tree develops a pyramidal to rounded crown with glossy green leaves in spring and summer that transform into fiery red tones as temperatures cool. Small red flowers appear in late winter to early spring before the leaves emerge.
