Azalea ‘Kirin’ – Soft Rose Pink Compact Kurume Azalea

Azalea ‘Kirin’ is a beautiful compact evergreen Kurume azalea, covered in masses of soft rose pink flowers in late winter and spring. Its small, glossy green leaves and naturally dense, rounded habit make it a lovely addition to smaller gardens.

Growing to approximately 80 cm–1 m tall and wide, ‘Kirin’ is ideal for borders, low hedging, pots or mass planting beneath trees and larger shrubs. Lightly prune after flowering to maintain a neat, compact shape.

Choose dappled or part shade with protection from hot afternoon sun. Plant in well-drained, slightly acidic soil enriched with organic matter.

Frost hardy and particularly well suited to cool-climate gardens, ‘Kirin’ is a lovely choice for Ballarat gardens.

At Navigators Nursery, your frost-hardy nursery near Ballarat, we carefully select plants with our local conditions in mind. ‘Kirin’ adds a generous flush of spring colour without taking up too much space.
