Azalea ‘Red Wings’ – Brilliant Red Evergreen Flowering Shrub

Azalea ‘Red Wings’ is a striking evergreen azalea with masses of brilliant red flowers that create a spectacular display in spring. The vibrant blooms stand out beautifully against its glossy green foliage, bringing bold colour and plenty of impact to the garden.

Growing to approximately 1 m tall and 1 m wide, ‘Red Wings’ forms a neat, bushy shrub ideal for garden beds, low hedging, pots or planting beneath larger trees and shrubs.

It prefers a partly shaded position with protection from hot afternoon sun and performs best in well-drained, acidic soil enriched with organic matter. Hardy and well suited to cool-climate gardens, it’s a reliable choice for Ballarat and other frost-prone areas.

At Navigators Nursery, your frost-hardy nursery near Ballarat, we carefully select plants with our local conditions in mind. ‘Red Wings’ is a wonderful choice for vibrant spring colour and a neat, evergreen form.
