Azalea ‘Ward’s Ruby’ – Ruby Red Evergreen Flowering Shrub

Azalea ‘Ward’s Ruby’ is a beautiful evergreen azalea with masses of rich ruby red flowers that create a spectacular display in spring. The deep, vibrant blooms stand out beautifully against its glossy dark green foliage, bringing plenty of colour and contrast to the garden.

Growing to approximately 1 m tall and 1 m wide, ‘Ward’s Ruby’ has a compact, rounded habit ideal for garden beds, low hedging, pots or planting in groups for a stronger display.

It prefers a partly shaded position, particularly morning sun or dappled shade, and performs best in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Hardy and frost tolerant, it is a lovely choice for Ballarat and other cool-climate gardens.

At Navigators Nursery, your frost-hardy nursery near Ballarat, we carefully select plants with our local conditions in mind. ‘Ward’s Ruby’ is a favourite for its rich colour, compact habit and reliable spring flowering.
