Boronia heterophylla ‘Just Margaret’ - Red Boronia

Boronia heterophylla ‘Just Margaret’ is an attractive Australian native shrub with aromatic, dark green foliage and delicate pink, bell-shaped flowers. Its colourful blooms and graceful growth make it a lovely addition to garden beds and sheltered positions.

Growing to approximately 1m high × 80cm wide, it prefers moist, well-drained soil and a sheltered position with morning sun and protection from hot afternoon conditions. Keep the soil from drying out, particularly during warmer weather, and lightly prune after flowering to maintain a compact shape.

Boronia tolerates light frost but can be sensitive to severe frosts, drying winds and hot, dry conditions. In Ballarat and Navigators, choose a protected position and provide extra care during cold weather.

At Navigators Nursery, your frost-hardy nursery near Ballarat, we carefully select plants with local growing conditions in mind and help you choose the right position for plants that need extra shelter, including ‘Just Margaret’.
