Callistemon citrinus ‘Snow Burst’™ – White Bottlebrush

Callistemon citrinus ‘Snow Burst’™, commonly known as Snow Burst Bottlebrush, is a compact Australian native shrub with fine, dark green foliage and masses of striking white bottlebrush flowers in spring. The bright flowers create a beautiful contrast against the foliage and are highly attractive to native birds and bees.

Growing to around 80cm to 1 metre tall and 70 to 80cm wide, ‘Snow Burst’ forms a naturally neat, compact shrub that is ideal for low hedges, borders, mass planting or as a feature plant. Its tidy habit means it requires very little pruning to maintain its shape.

It prefers a sunny to partly shaded position and is adaptable to most well-drained soils. Once established, it is drought tolerant and has good frost tolerance, making it well suited to our Ballarat cold climate. A light prune after flowering can help maintain a dense, bushy habit.

At Navigators Nursery, your frost-hardy nursery near Ballarat, we carefully select plants with our local conditions in mind. Snow Burst is a lovely Australian native for adding fresh white flowers, evergreen structure and plenty of wildlife interest to a Ballarat garden.
