Citrus sinensis ‘Cara Cara’ – Navel Orange Espalier on Timber Frame

Orange ‘Cara Cara’ Navel combines attractive evergreen foliage with delicious, sweet fruit. Its distinctive pinkish-red flesh, low acidity and rich, sweet flavour make it a favourite for eating fresh.

Trained onto a reinforced Timber espalier frame, this established plant makes an instant feature for a sunny wall, fence or courtyard. It’s a practical and beautiful way to grow citrus where space is limited, adding structure and year-round interest.

‘Cara Cara’ prefers a sunny, sheltered position with well-drained soil and regular moisture. Attractive foliage, fragrant spring flowers and colourful fruit provide interest throughout the year. Maintain the espalier form with ongoing training and pruning.

At Navigators Nursery, your frost-hardy nursery near Ballarat, we carefully select plants with our local conditions in mind. This established espalier is a beautiful way to bring home-grown citrus into a smaller garden with suitable shelter.
