Ceratostigma plumbaginoides (Plumbago) is a stunning low-growing perennial that produces brilliant cobalt-blue flowers from late summer through autumn when many other plants are fading. The vibrant blooms create a carpet of intense color, while the foliage turns rich bronze-red in autumn, providing a spectacular seasonal display.

This hardy groundcover spreads slowly by rhizomes to form dense mats, making it excellent for edging, mass plantings, or filling difficult areas. The electric-blue flowers are a rare color in the garden and attract butterflies and bees. Ceratostigma is remarkably tough once established and thrives in Ballarat's climate.

Height: 0.2-0.3m | Width: 0.4-0.6m

Best in full sun to part shade with well-drained soil. Suitable for north, west, and east-facing positions. Frost tolerant and drought hardy once established.
