Cornus florida - Pink Flowering Dogwood

Cornus florida in its pink forms is one of the most graceful and romantic flowering trees you can grow. Each spring, before the leaves even emerge, the branches are smothered in showy pink bracts — ranging from soft blush to deep rose — creating a display that stops people in their tracks.

One of the first to flower in the Spring, it is something to behold when covered in masses of pink blooms.  Come autumn, the foliage turns a rich red, and female trees carry clusters of bright red berries — a bonus for the birds.

Note: Cornus florida performs best in well-drained, slightly acidic soil with protection from hot afternoon sun. Ask us in-store if you're unsure whether it suits your conditions.
