Eucalyptus pauciflora ‘Little Snowman’ – Dwarf Snow Gum

Eucalyptus pauciflora ‘Little Snowman’, commonly known as Little Snowman or Dwarf Snow Gum, is a beautiful Australian native tree with smooth, creamy white bark that develops attractive patches of grey, white and soft reddish pink as it matures. Its grey green foliage forms an open, gently spreading canopy, while masses of creamy white flowers appear from spring through summer and attract bees, birds and other native wildlife.

Growing to around 4–7 metres tall and 3–5 metres wide, ‘Little Snowman’ is a compact form of Snow Gum suited to gardens, open lawns and areas where a full-sized gum would be too large, provided there is room for its mature canopy. Its attractive bark and spreading form make it an excellent feature or shade tree.

It prefers a sunny position and well-drained soil and is adaptable to a range of conditions once established. It is drought tolerant, wind tolerant and exceptionally frost tolerant, making it particularly well suited to our Ballarat cold climate. Use a low phosphorus native fertiliser if required.

At Navigators Nursery, your frost-hardy nursery near Ballarat, we carefully select plants with our local conditions in mind. Little Snowman is a beautiful choice for bringing distinctive Australian character, attractive bark and year-round interest to a Ballarat garden.
