Hakea 'Stockdale Sensation' (Pincushion Hakea) is a compact new hybrid that puts on a spectacular display of red and cream pincushion flower heads through winter — a time of year when very little else is in bloom. This makes it a standout feature shrub in any garden.

Its dense, spreading growth habit also makes it an excellent choice for informal screens and windbreaks along property boundaries. A great tip for pruning: simply cut a few flowering stems for indoor decoration — this naturally encourages a more compact, bushy habit.
