Juniperus chinensis - Spartan

Juniperus chinensis 'Spartan' (Spartan Juniper) is a dense, upright columnar evergreen conifer with rich green foliage year-round. This hardy juniper forms a narrow, pyramidal shape making it ideal for screening, hedging, or as a striking vertical accent in the garden.

Height: 4-6m | Width: 1-1.5m

Spartan Juniper thrives in full sun and tolerates a wide range of soil conditions including poor, dry soils once established. Extremely cold-hardy and frost-tolerant, it's perfectly suited to Ballarat's climate and handles exposed positions well. Low maintenance and drought-tolerant once established, this versatile conifer requires minimal pruning to maintain its naturally neat form.

Excellent for creating privacy screens, windbreaks, or formal garden features. Its compact width makes it suitable for narrow spaces where vertical interest is needed.
