Rhododendron ‘Mrs Charles Pearson’ | Pale Pink Flowering Shrub
Rhododendron ‘Mrs Charles Pearson’ | Pale Pink Flowering Shrub
Rhododendron ‘Mrs Charles Pearson’ is an elegant evergreen shrub with rounded clusters of soft pink buds that open to pale pink and almost white flowers, often marked with attractive brown spots in the throat. The delicate flowers contrast beautifully with its dark green foliage, creating a lovely display in spring.
Growing to around 2m high and 1.5–2m wide, it develops a vigorous, upright and bushy habit. Plant in part shade, in moist, well-drained, acidic soil rich in organic matter. Protect it from hot afternoon sun and drying winds, and mulch around the roots to help retain moisture. It can also be used for informal screening in a suitable position.
A cold-hardy rhododendron, ‘Mrs Charles Pearson’ is well suited to Ballarat’s cool-climate gardens and tolerates frosty conditions. A sheltered position will help protect the flowers and developing buds.
At Navigators Nursery, your frost-hardy nursery near Ballarat, we carefully select plants suited to local conditions, including beautiful flowering shrubs that bring colour and structure to the garden.
