Rhododendron ‘Tamarindos’ – Compact Evergreen Spring Flowering Shrub

Rhododendron ‘Tamarindos’ is a compact evergreen shrub with masses of vibrant flowers for a beautiful spring display. Its richly coloured blooms contrast with deep green foliage, adding seasonal colour and year-round structure.

Growing to approximately 1–1.5 m tall and 1–1.5 m wide, ‘Tamarindos’ is a lovely feature shrub for mixed garden beds or group plantings.

Choose a partly shaded position protected from hot afternoon sun. Plant in well-drained, acidic soil enriched with organic matter. Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during establishment, and mulch well to protect its shallow roots.

Its compact habit and excellent cold tolerance make it particularly well suited to Ballarat and other cool-climate gardens. At Navigators Nursery, your frost-hardy nursery near Ballarat, we carefully select plants with our local conditions in mind.
