Rhododendron ‘Taurus’ is a striking evergreen shrub with vivid cherry-red flowers in generous rounded clusters in spring. Darker markings on the upper petals create an eye-catching contrast against deep green, glossy foliage. Its bold flowers make it an excellent feature plant in a sheltered garden.

Growing to around 1.5–1.8m high and wide, it develops an upright, vigorous habit. Plant in part shade or a position protected from hot afternoon sun, in moist, well-drained, acidic soil rich in organic matter. Keep the soil evenly moist, particularly during dry weather, and mulch around the root zone.
