Rhododendron ‘Volcano’ – Vibrant Red Evergreen Flowering Shrub

Rhododendron ‘Volcano’ is a striking evergreen shrub with bold, vibrant red flowers that make a real statement. Clusters of richly coloured blooms create a spectacular spring display, beautifully complemented by deep green foliage.

Growing to approximately 1.5–2 m tall and 1.5–2 m wide, ‘Volcano’ makes an excellent feature plant or can be planted in groups for a dramatic splash of colour.

Choose a partly shaded position with protection from hot afternoon sun. Plant in well-drained, acidic soil enriched with organic matter.

A hardy choice for Ballarat and other cool-climate gardens, ‘Volcano’ is well suited to frosty conditions and adds year-round structure alongside brilliant seasonal colour.

At Navigators Nursery, your frost-hardy nursery near Ballarat, we carefully select plants with our local conditions in mind. ‘Volcano’ is a favourite when you’re looking for a rhododendron with plenty of impact.
