Rhododendron ‘White Pearl’ – White Flowering Evergreen Shrub

Rhododendron ‘White Pearl’ is a beautiful evergreen rhododendron that produces large, pure white flowers from soft pink buds in late spring. The flowers are held in generous clusters against deep green, glossy foliage, creating an elegant display that really stands out in the garden.

Growing to around 2–3 metres tall and 1.5–2 metres wide, ‘White Pearl’ is a vigorous, upright-growing rhododendron that makes an excellent feature plant or screening shrub. Its evergreen foliage provides structure and interest throughout the year.

It prefers a cool, sheltered position with morning sun or filtered light and moist, well-drained, acidic soil rich in organic matter. Regular watering is important, particularly during dry periods, and a layer of mulch helps keep the roots cool and moist. Keep mulch clear of the trunk. This hardy rhododendron is well suited to Ballarat’s cold climate, with shelter from drying winds and severe frost helping protect buds and flowers.
