Schizachyrium scoparium 'Standing Ovation' - Little Bluestem Grass

Schizachyrium scoparium 'Standing Ovation' is a strongly upright Little Bluestem grass with blue-green summer foliage that turns glowing shades of orange, red, burgundy and purple in autumn. Stiff stems stand tall through wind and weather, holding their shape well into winter.

Size

Growing tips

• Full sun (north- or west-facing spots are ideal)
• Well-drained soil, including poor or dry soils; avoid rich, wet soils
• Very cold hardy and frost tolerant
• Cut back to ground level in late winter before new growth
