Viburnum plicatum f. tomentosum ‘Mariesii’ | Doublefile Viburnum

Viburnum plicatum f. tomentosum ‘Mariesii’ is an elegant deciduous shrub with distinctive tiered branches and white lacecap flowers in spring. The flowers sit along its horizontal branches, creating a beautiful layered display. Deeply veined, dark green foliage turns shades of red and purple in autumn. Red berries may follow the flowers, darkening as they mature.

Growing approximately 2–3m high and wide, ‘Mariesii’ makes a lovely feature shrub for a larger garden where its spreading habit can be appreciated. Plant in full sun or part shade in well-drained soil that retains some moisture. Prune only as needed to maintain its natural shape, preferably after flowering.

Frost hardy and well suited to our Ballarat cold climate, this doublefile viburnum offers interest across the seasons. Find it at Navigators Nursery, your frost-hardy nursery near Ballarat.
