Wisteria floribunda 'Beni Fuji'

A large, strong-growing deciduous, twining climber with dark green, pinnate leaves and drooping racemes up to 45cm in length, crowded with fragrant, pale rose flowers tipped with purple, appearing with the leaves.

Also known as Wisteria floribunda f. rosea 'Hon-beni'. 'Beni Fuji' is an officially recognised synonym of 'Honbeni'.

Growing notes:

• Full sun for best flowering; tolerates part shade
• Fertile, well-drained soil with regular watering during establishment
• Requires a strong support structure — pergolas, arbours and sturdy fences are ideal
• Prune after flowering and again in winter to maintain shape and encourage blooms
• Approximate mature size: 8m high x 4m wide
• Hardy and suitable for cool to cold climate conditions
